A recent conversation with Mama.
Marinka: Mama, thank you so much for bringing that pasta dish over. It was delicious.
Mama: Did you like it?
Marinka: I loved it. So tasty. I’ve been having it for lunch every day.
Mama: I’m glad, because usually you have junk food and this is wholesome ingredients.
Marinka: …Yes, thank you…
Mama: I made a great effort to make it, I’m glad you appreciate it and didn’t just throw it out.
Marinka…Delicious..Very…delicious…
Mama: It’s the perfect pasta dish, you agree?
Marinka: Â Yes, except I don’t love.. red pepper..
Mama: What’s wrong with red pepper?
Marinka: I just don’t love the taste, but the rest was great.
Mama: What not love taste? Red pepper is delicious. Stop that nonsense.
Marinka: It’s not my favorite.
Mama: You always ate red pepper, now you’re too good for red pepper?
Marinka: I’m sorry, I made a mistake. I love red pepper.
Mama: Good, I’ll make more.

As long as she isn’t there when you eat it, you can avoid the red peppers.
Mama is always right. Remember that.

Mama is not always right. Red pepper is awful. I pick it out of every meal. Stand up for your rights to not eat red pepper.
