This is the third of four weekly posts sponsored by Hillshire Farm.
If you’ve been reading this blog for any length of time, no doubt you already know that I am a magnanimous (this doesn’t mean owner of enormous ass, does it?) person, filled with love and admiration for my fellow man and that jealous rage is just not part of my vocabulary.
So it will come as no surprise to you that as my fellow bloggers get ready for the BlogHer conference in San Diego this week, I am not at all upset about being Left Behind.
Nope, not at all.
Because who needs to spend time with friends, put on fancy clothes, attend panels with people I adore, lunches with some of my favorite writers ever, hear friends read at Voices of the Year, learn how to make my blog better, experience emotional and spiritual growth and party all night long?
Not me!
And I’m totally fine with being at home and hosting sleepover number who the hell can count that high with my kids. And maybe, just maybe, the one episode of Law & Order: SVU that I haven’t yet seen will be on TNT and I’ll catch it.
I just don’t have a jealous bone in my body, you see.
Because I’ve been filleted and I’m now boneless.
So if you’re going to BlogHer, remember to have extra fun for me. And stop by the Hillshire Farm booth! That’s booth #100 and meet “Bridesmaids†comedienne Wendi McLendon-Covey while dining in style at the only eatery at BlogHer ’11! Take a seat at the So Good Bistro and place an order off of the Hillshire Farm menu featuring a variety of delicious dishes made using products including slow roasted lean cuts of lunchmeat and perfectly seasoned smoked sausage. Mmmm..sausage….
The booth is open: August 4 (6-8 pm), August 5 (8 am to 6 pm), August 6 (8 am to 6 pm)
See Wendi at the Hilllshire booth:
* Friday: 10:00 – 10:30 am (appearance), 10:30 – 11:30 am, autograph signing (2:45 pm to 4 pm)
* Saturday: 10:00 – 10:30 am (appearance), 10:30 – 11:30 am, autograph signing (1:30 pm to 2:45)
Have fun!
Thanks to Hillshire Farm for sponsoring this post. And for some important BlogHer tips, check out The Mouthy Housewives!

In fact I just had an idea. I’ll email you with details.
I think Law and Order SVU is streaming on Netflix.
I’m not jealous at BlogHer11 either. I am jealous, however, at Marinka and Anthony’s secret party plans.
And the word you were looking for is callypigious.
Sounds like it’s just not going to be much fun at all. No Mouthy Housewives cocktail party? Then forget it. Those wacky ladies really know how to dispense advice AND party. Where’s the 2012 event?

You might have to try out one of the other Law and Orders, I have found there is no SVU I haven’t seen.
I too have remotely no jealousy, ever.

I’m afraid if I went to BlogHer, I might never return to my family.

I’d love to go to BlogHer, but bad things happened last time I left the social safety net that is my Canadian homeland.
Instead, my kids and I are going to have a Bigass Blog Conference here, in the backyard. My 12yo DD is hosting a “Best Pouting Poses” for taking better photos, and my 7yo DS will run a “Finding the Fodder and Funny in Household Accidents” symposium.
It should be good. Come over. Plus, you can wear your pajamas and we are serving lukewarm Kool-aid.
I think Susan and I are going to try to go next year! Do you think I should tell Susan that, or just leave it as a surprise until about two months before the event!!! Bwahahahaha LOVE tormenting her…..I never had an older sister….I have one now…..
Try the new TNT show Rizzoli and Isles…..anything with Lorraine Bracco is a win!!
I’m going to miss you most of all. 🙁

I also am not at BlogHer and I sort of feel sick about it. Even though I don’t even really know what it is. I do know that being there sounds a whole lot better than being here mothering 4 children. That sounded bad……..

I had a lot of fun at Hillshire Farm’s set-up last year. Watching kids taste-test turkey, salsa, pickle, and car wax sandwiches was a highlight.
Me too. I’m not jealous at all. Not. Really.
I can’t even joke. I’ll miss you terribly.
P.S. They let you keep enormous asses in Manhattan apartments? Zoning laws are crap these days.

I’m not going either. But if it will make you feel better, I’ll text you regarding your whereabouts periodically over the next few days.
I’m going, but I’m not even joking that it won’t be the same BlogHer without Marinka. I will eat Hillshire Farm sausage, think of you, and try not to cry.

I’m trying not to take this personally, but last year when Marinka told me BlogHer would be in San Diego, I said, “Great! I’ll come down and finally meet you face to face since I’m in L.A.!” And then she was all, “Oh, did I say I was going? Uh, what I meant was that, um, I WASN’T going, because, uh, something came up.” Hmm…

Oh yeah, I’m not jealous either. I’ll be at my in-laws in jersey.
I am new to this blogging thing, and as I live in Los Angeles, I am driving down to San Diego on Saturday for one day. I am going alone, and I am so nervous my hands are sweating as I type this. Because I have so many heroes that are going to be there. I am sad I won’t be able to see you/stalk you when I am there. But I will stop by Booth 100/Hilshire Farms and tell them you said to stop by. That should break the ice.

Yes, I know this was forever ago but I can’t help myself. I missed you! But don’t worry, Wendi set an extra chair aside at lunch in YOUR honor. You were sitting right in the 75 degree sunshine and we ordered you a margarita. Which you loved! It was gone in 2 minutes.
And don’t worry, you’ll totally be partying in NYC at BlogHer next year while I’m taking care of a 9 month old.
